Ans – I am planning to pursue my graduate program in Computer Science from Arizona state University.

Tell me something about yourself.?
Ans- My self Trisha Shrestha and I am from Kathmandu. My father is a Business owner at a IT supply company and my mother is home maker. I have completed my bachelor in IT from Caspian Valley College and then I worked in Subisu IT company for almost 18 months and currently I am working as a Software Consultant in Inexture Solution .

Why do you particularly want to study at this university?
Ans- :- ASU is considered as one of the top research universities of US especially in the field of Computer Science. . I like the verities of courses offered in each area like Data Mining , Data Visualization , Distributed Database System, Foundation of Algorithms etc. Moreover , they have categorized all courses into three categories. Application , System and Foundation and every student has to complete at least one course from each category. Also , if students want to take undergrad courses then ASU also offers 400 level classes. This kind of flexibility is more or less absent in many other universities. So I think , I would get really good exposure from this university.

Why Masters in this majors ?
Ans- I have done my bachelor in the same field which has built foundation in technology development and research . Moreover, I have good experience to work with two different firms in same field. So, Master’s program would definitely help me out to boost my career opportunities and it will enhance my expertise in this area.

Why don’t you study in Nepal?
Ans- US grad schools are way ahead in terms of research in fields like computer science and soft engineering compared to other universities in Nepal. They also have advanced structure of courses which are more or less absent in Nepalese Universities. Moreover, they stress on practical knowledge and not just book learning. If I would get a degree from US then that would be globally recognized as the academic standards are very good.

What do you know about University?
Ans:- ASU Tempe is situated in downtown Tempe ,which is about eight miles east of
Phoenix. The campus is surrounded by approx. 660 acres in size. According to US news , ASU has positioned No.1 in terms of Innovation since last decade. Moreover , all the professors are well qualified and possess P.h.d degree from well-known university .In addition to that , ASU provides abundant resources for students like , ASU counselling service, ASU health Service , ASU Police , ASU wellness and many more.

How did you come to know about your university?
Ans:- Sir , I have done research to identify good universities for which my research interest matches . Many of my friends have also attended the same grad school , so they also suggested me to have a look for this university.

Did anybody help you in the research of theses Universities?
Ans:- Yes , I have taken help from Faith Int’l Education Services located in Putalisadak Kathmandu . They have suggested me number of universities . I have done a lot research to identify the reputed university for which my research interests matches , course structure and details about the professor like qualification , research area they work on , and rating of professor.

How many i-20’s you got?
Ans:- I got two i20s.One from ASU and another from SJSU.

How many rejections do you have?
Ans:- I have applied to five universities and I got offer letter from four of the universities. As of now I don’t get any update regarding my admission from Iowa State University.

Do you want to do part time job there?
Ans:- I have no intention to work on either on campus or off campus. If I would get an opportunity to work as TA or GA with some professor on my interested research area then I would like to work 20 hours per week .

Why have you not applied to ______ University even though you have sent your GRE/IELTS score?
Ans:- While I took my GRE/IELTS/PTE , I was not aware about universities that were best suited for my research area. Hence I chose good colleges which I knew at that time.
Sunny Buffalo :- I have done research about this university and I came to know few points which deviates my mind not to go for this university. There are extremely few and selective courses offered in Computer Science . Moreover , there is lack of industry nearby Buffalo. So it might affect me to get industrial experience in terms of internship.
Northeastern University – Northeastern University is private grad school and quite expensive.

What is there in your course curriculum which you liked the most?
Ans:- In order to obtain master degree in Computer Science , we have to complete 30 credit hours courses . I like the verities of courses offered in each area. What are your future plans?
Ans:- Sir , after completing my studies , I want to come back to Nepal and settle down in Kathmandu as it is my hometown ,abundant number of opportunities are available over there. And probably after getting good industrial exposure, I would like to start my own IT firm.

Why would you come back if you have job opportunities in USA?
Ans:- Sir , my parents are aged and suffering from health issues. So I would definitely come back for them. Also, Since Nepal has a lot of scope after 5 years in the IT sector. I’m sure I will be able to establish a successful business in the future.

Give me three reasons why i should grant you visa.
Ans:- I have i20 letter issued by ASU which indicates that ASU has grant me admission in my desired course. Secondly , I have adequate amount of funds in my bank and I have attached the same. Moreover , After obtaining a Master degree , I would be coming back to Nepal which shows that I have no intention to stay in US and work.

What if I don’t give you visa.
Ans:- Its my long wish to study in U.S but I still respect the decision of embassy and I will try my next application and prepare necessary documents required for my second chance.

So, I am pretty much sure that , I will be working for good company which pays me high salary.

Ans:- In Caspian Valley College , we have common subject for one year for all the branches.
From second year onwards , I have studied , DS, algorithm ,programming lang , THOC

Ans:- Sir , I am going to US to earn degree , not money and my intention is very clear.

Will you come back during summer breaks to your family?
Ans:- Yes sir , I will be coming back in vacations to meet my family and friends. If I don’t get that opportunity, I will spend some time exploring some famous tourist destinations around my University and get some exposure with the American culture. 46) Did you speak or communicated with any faculty related to your course.

Will you stay off campus or on campus?
Ans:- I will be staying off campus. Currently I am searching for my accommodation . We have explored few apartments near by University like 1255 , Dorsey etc.. which might cost me around ____ USD.
